Balance alerts can be set up in Rewards Genius to notify users when the account balance drops below a specific threshold. This can help users add funds when they are needed and prevent account balances from running out in scenarios where rewards are sent automatically.
* User must have account and funding manage level permissions.

How to Create an Account Balance Alert

To begin, click the blue button in the top-right corner, then click Accounts and Users from the drop-down menu.

Click on Account Options and select Balance Alerts.

Select Create Balance Alert.

Name your alert and click Continue.

Select the account that you would like to receive balance alerts for. It is possible to select more than one account. Click Next when you have selected the account(s) you would like to receive balance alerts for.

Note: You can only select multiple accounts of the same currency.

Set the threshold amount: When the account balance drops below this threshold, it will trigger the alert. Click Next.

Enter up to five (5) email addresses that will receive the alert when the balance drops below the threshold amount. Click Save.

When the account balance drops below the threshold set for the alert, the contacts set up in the alert will receive an email notifying them that the balance dropped below the threshold.

Managing Balance Alerts

Once Balance Alerts have been created, click the blue button in the top-right corner, then click Accounts and Users from the drop-down menu.

Notes:

  • A Balance Alert can trigger once per 24 hours. This means if an order is made that triggers the balance alert, the alert email will be sent out. If another order is made within 24 hours while the balance is below the threshold, a second alert will not be sent out.

  • Alerts will be triggered by any order source including Standard, Bulk, API, Qualtrics, Code Pull, or Blast.

  • Balance Alerts can be edited from the Balance Alerts page, so the account(s), balance threshold, and notification recipients can all be changed once the balance alert has been created.

  • * Users must have Manage-level permissions set for Accounts and Funding in order to be able to create and edit balance alerts. Learn more about setting permissions here.
