You can add, edit, delete, and reset multi-factor authentication for a user profile in Tango, depending on your role and permissions. A Tango user may be an HR leader, researcher, business owner, or anyone with access to the Tango platform. Your role determines your ability to add, edit, or delete users.
Required permissions to manage users
To add, edit, delete users, you must have Entire organization access and Manage users permissions.
With the right permissions, you are authorized to perform the following tasks at your own access level or below:
With the right permissions above, you can add new users at your access level or lower.
To add new users to the platform:

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Users on the left menu.

Click Add User in the upper right.

In User details, enter the user's First name, Last name, and Email.

For Email, enter a unique address. The email address is the username to sign in to Tango portal.
Note:

Each user’s Tango profile is tied to their email on a single Tango platform.

The same email address cannot be used on multiple Tango platforms.

To move a user to a different Tango platform, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or email success@tangocard.com.

In Account access, choose how this user can access your Tango platform:

In Roles & permissions:

Select a Role such as Sender. To create a custom role, see Manage custom user roles in Tango. For more on default roles, see Manage default user roles in Tango.

(Optional) Click View permissions associate with role to review the details.
Note:
Roles are only visible when the user has Entire organization access. For user management roles, ensure Manage roles is toggled On and the user is assigned Organization access.

Click Send invite.
A banner appears to confirm that the user has been created and the invite has been sent. The user will receive an invitation from the Tango invite email from noreply@tangocard.com. See Activate your Tango account. The new user will appear with an Invited status next to their name. Once the user accepts the invitation sent to their mail inbox, they can log in to the Tango portal. The Tango invite expires in seven days if not accepted. See Reissue an expired Tango invite.

With the right permissions above, you can edit users at your access level or lower.
To edit a user profile:

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Users on the left menu.

Search for the user by first name, last name, or email address.

Click the three-dot menu on the user row you want to edit, or click the row itself.

Select Edit user.

In User details, edit user’s First Name and Last Name.
Note:
The Email address cannot be modified. Each user’s Tango profile is tied to their email on a single Tango platform.

In the Roles & permissions, click View permissions associated with role and start updating it as needed.

Click Save changes.
You may need to delete a user profile when the user moves on or is no longer in their role. With the right permissions above, you can delete users at your access level or lower.
To delete a user profile:

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Users on the left menu.
-
Search for the user by first name, last name, or email address.

Click the three-dot menu on the user row you want to edit, or click the row itself.

Select Delete user.
-
Confirm by clicking Delete user again on the confirmation message to finalize the deletion. A success message confirms it.
Note:
If a user has been deleted from a platform by mistake, or needs to be added back, a Tango admin or user with adequate permissions can add them as a new user to the same Tango platform.

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Users on the left menu.

Search for the user by first name, last name, or email address.

Click the three-dot menu on the user row you want to edit to reset the multi-factor authentication.

Click Reset multi-factor methods. This will reset all multi-factor authentication methods for this user. They will be required to add another method prior to logging in again.
Each user can only link one profile to their email address on a single Tango Platform. Users will need to use different email addresses to access various Tango Platforms. If you need to move a user from one Tango Platform to another, reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or success@tangocard.com for further assistance.
