Complete your Tango registration

After signing up for a new Tango Platform, or receiving a Tango invite from your admin, you must first set up your user profile to sign in and use the Tango portal.

An invite with a registration link is sent to your email address from noreply@tangocard.com. Check your Spam folder if you can't find your invite. The Tango invite expires seven days after sending if it isn't accepted. If your invite has expired, reach out to your Tango portal administrator. Tango admins can Reissue an expired Tango invite.

To complete your Tango registration

You must accept your Tango invite and create your user profile.

To complete your Tango registration:

  1. Open the email invite from tangocard.com. The invitation indicates your user email and role.

  2. Click Accept Invite. Check with your IT department if you have issues opening the page as your organization may need to add certain Tango URLs, IPs, domains, or emails. See Update security settings to receive emails from Tango.

  3. Your email address that is also your username for the Tango portal, is automatically populated. There are several authorization options. Learn more Sign in to Tango portal.

    • Set a password and click Continue to receive a verification code.

    • Select Continue with Google to use your Google account as your sign in method, this option is only available if the email address where you received your Tango invite is a Google email. 

    • Select Continue with [xyz] SSO if this option is enabled by your organization.

  4. To use a password and email address as your credentials when signing in, create a password and click Continue.
     

Note:

Your password must have at least one of each of the following: 

  • lower-case letters

  • upper-case letters

  • numbers

  • special characters (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *). Dashes, pluses, parentheses, and slashes are invalid characters for Tango passwords and can't be used.

  • If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password link on the sign in page. This option only works with user profiles that use a password for authentication. You cannot reset a password used with Google or SSO from the Tango portal.

    A Google email password has to be reset through your Google account, and an SSO password has to be reset through your organization's Identity Provider (IdP).

 

  1. Enter your cell phone number to register it for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and click Send Verification code. Learn more about MFA in Set up Multi-factor authentication (MFA).

  2. You will receive a text message with your six-digit verification code.

  3. Select Remember this device for 60 days if you are on a trusted device and skip the MFA verification step the next time you log in. You are logged into the Tango portal. 

Note:

Make sure to select the Remember this device for 60 days checkbox before you start entering the code. The window is automatically closed as soon as you enter the last digit of the code.
