Find your Tango account number

The Tango account number is a unique alphanumeric ID (such as A12345678) assigned to each account in the Tango platform. It:

  • Distinguishes between multiple accounts in the Tango portal

  • Acts as a key reference for managing and interacting with an account

  • Is required for funding inquiries, support requests, and internal reference

Our Support and Customer Success teams may ask for your account number when investigating or troubleshooting issues. Tango account number is used for:

  • Managing accounts: distinguish between multiple accounts in the Tango portal.

  • Ensuring operations security and accuracy: help ensure operations (like sending rewards) are performed on the correct account.

 

Note:

Tango account number may or may not be as the accountIdentifier. Tango API relies on accountIdentifier for key operations such as sending rewards, checking balances, and funding accounts. API customers can override the default accountIdentifier  with a preferred value of their choice. See Find account and customer identifiers for Tango API.

You can find your Tango account number in two ways:

 

Required permissions

  • To see your own account number in the account switcher, you do not need any special access.

  • To see the account number via the Accounts menu, you must have View or Manage permissions for Accounts.

  • To see other accounts' numbers, you must have Entire organization access and View permissions for Accounts. See Roles and permissions in Tango.

 

Find your Tango account number via account switcher

You can always see your Tango account number in the account switcher regardless of your permission.

To find your Tango account number via account switcher:

  1. Sign in to the Tango portal.

  2. In the top-left corner, click account switcher and confirm you are in the correct account. A box appears showing the account number (for example, A12345678).

  3. Hover over the account number and click the copy icon that appears to copy it to your clipboard.

 

Find your Tango account number via Accounts

To see Accounts on the left menu and find your account number, you must have View or Manage permissions for Accounts.

To find your account number:

  1. Sign in to the Tango portal.

  2. In the left menu, click Accounts. You’ll see a list of accounts linked to your organization. Make sure the Account Number column is selected in the table columns so it is displayed.

  3. To copy the account number, click the account you want to view.

  4. In the account details page, look for a field labeled Account Number.
