Tango supports QR code delivery, enabling you to send digital rewards directly to recipients without needing their email address. Recipients access rewards by scanning a unique QR code—ideal for on-site events, mobile distribution, or when email or SMS delivery is impractical.
To use QR code for delivery, you must enable QR code reward delivery for your platform. See Enable QR code reward delivery.

Not all rewards support QR code delivery. The Tango unique template ID (UTID) must specify the delivery type. If a reward is ineligible, the Send rewards page disables QR code delivery.

Deliver rewards with a QR code
QR code rewards do not require email or phone numbers. Select an eligible reward and place the order using QR code as the delivery method. As soon as you place order, the system generates a QR code for the reward. Present the QR code to the employee. The employee opens the reward link in their mobile browser and redeems it.
To send digital rewards to mobile recipients via QR code:

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Send rewards from the left menu.

Filter Delivery by “QR Code” and select an eligible reward.

Under Delivery method, select QR code.

Enter the reward Amount and the recipient’s first name. Last name and internal notes are optional. No contact info is required for QR code delivery.

Click Proceed to checkout and review your order.

On the Checkout page, choose Deliver now. QR code is not eligible for scheduled delivery.

Select a payment type and click Place order. The reward status will appear on the Orders page.
You are automatically directed to the Orders page, where you can see your order. See Manage reward orders with Tango.
View and print QR codes
To view the reward's redemption credentials and display or print the Tango-generated QR code(s), open a line item and click Actions > View reward credentials. You can also access the “Reward credentials” window from the Orders page by selecting an order delivered with a QR code. See Manage reward orders with Tango for details.
Freeze, resend, cancel, cancel and reissue

Resend: You can resend digital rewards created with a QR code if the recipient loses access or closes the browser tab. You must have the correct permission to resend the QR code link. See Resend rewards.

Freeze, cancel, or reissue: If the reward was issued by mistake, cancel it before redemption. If the original QR code is invalid or expired, generate a new one. You can only freeze, cancel, or cancel/reissue Choice products. See Cancel and reissue rewards. See Freeze and unfreeze rewards.
