Tango supports QR code delivery, enabling you to send digital rewards directly to recipients without needing their email address. Recipients access rewards by scanning a unique QR code—ideal for on-site events, mobile distribution, or when email or SMS delivery is impractical.
To use QR code for delivery, you must enable QR code reward delivery for your platform. See Enable QR code reward delivery.

You must enable the QR code reward delivery for your platform. Once enabled, it applies to all accounts in your organization and platform. See Enable QR code reward delivery to find more.

Not all rewards support QR code delivery. Tango unique template ID (UTID) must specify the delivery type above. If a reward is ineligible, QR code delivery is disabled on the Send rewards page.

Send rewards with QR code
QR code rewards do not require email or phone numbers. Select an eligible reward and place the order using QR code as the delivery method. As soon as you place order, the system generates a QR code for the reward. Present the QR code to the employee. The employee opens the reward link in their mobile browser and redeems it.
To send digital rewards to mobile recipients via QR code:

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Send rewards from the left menu.

Filter Delivery by “QR Code” and select an eligible reward.

Under Delivery method, select QR code.

Enter the reward Amount and recipient First name. Last name and internal notes are optional. No contact info is required for QR code delivery.

Click Proceed to checkout and review your order.

On the Checkout page, choose Deliver now. QR code is not eligible for scheduled delivery.

Select a payment type and click Place order. The reward status will appear on the Orders page.

Click the View reward credentials button at the top right to display the QR code. You can print, open, or copy the reward URL to share it with your user. See Access QR code below.

To view and manage the QR code for your sent reward in the Tango portal, follow these steps:
To access the QR code for the sent reward:

Sign in to the Tango portal.

Click Orders in the left menu.

Locate your reward in either the Orders or Line Items tab.

Click the reward to open its details.

Click Actions > View reward credentials. The QR code will display. If the link is expired, the expiry date appears below.

If the link is expired, the expiry date appears under the QR code.

When an order includes multiple rewards, the system shows a separate QR code for each line item.

From this page, you can:

Print QR codes: Generate a PDF or print a physical copy for scanning or handing out physical rewards.

Open reward: Access the reward directly and launch it in a new browser tab or window.

Copy Reward URL: Copy the link to your clipboard to save or share via messages or email.
Manage rewards sent with QR codes
Freeze, resend, cancel, cancel and reissue
You can resend any digital reward, but you can only freeze, cancel, or reissue Choice products regardless of the delivery method. Choice products include Reward Link® (RL), Global Choice Link, Promo Link™ (PL), and Disbursement Link (DL). See About Reward Link®, About Promo Link™, and About Disbursement link.
