Did you know that you can send custom email messages with your rewards? There are three ways to customize email message sent with a reward email:

  • Use custom email templates : All digital rewards are sent via email using an email template. You can create a custom email that is used over and over in your platform, group, or account, whether or not it is set as default. To customize the template for bulk upload, enter the email template ID (ETID) of the custom template containing the message you’d like to use.
  • Create custom email messages per individual reward: Create a unique message for each reward in one order by editing the email template while reviewing the cart. When sending multiple rewards with bulk upload, you can use the ETID and Message columns to customize the email template and message used with each reward.
  • Create custom email messages for multiple rewards: Create a unique message for multiple rewards in one order by editing the email template before going to the cart. When sending multiple rewards with bulk upload, you can use the ETID and the Message columns to customize the email template and message used with each reward.

Use custom email templates

For custom email messages, create a custom email template with a personalized message and add to your order. See how you can Create a custom email template or Create a custom print template.

An email template can be set as the default for the platform, group, or account. A default template is used for every order placed at that level without any extra steps. If your template is not set as default, an email template can be selected at the time the of order. Select a template, then click Apply Template to confirm. To pick and apply a different email template, use the template Edit/Change button when sending rewards. To pick and choose another custom template while sending rewards, click Switch Template. Note: If you edit an email template before adding the order to the cart, the template message is applied to all rewards added to the cart in that order. If you edit the email template message from the cart, the message is customized per reward in the order.

Create custom email messages per individual reward (in one order)

Do you want to include a personalized email message quickly? With the orders placed in the cart and before checkout, click Edit/Change next to any reward to customize the message specifically for that reward. Refer to our documents to learn how you can Send rewards with Tango.

To create custom email messages per individual reward in one order:

  1. Sign in to Tango portal.
  2. Click Send rewards from the left panel.
  3. Select a reward for the email delivery.
  4. Enter the reward information such as amount, name and email address.
  5. Click Add to Cart.
  6. Click Cart and then Go to cart. 
  7. While in the cart, click Edit/Change next to any reward.
  8. In the new page, customize Subject (reward’s name), Message (limit: 3000 characters), and From Name (email sender). Redemption instructions for the reward are tied to the reward and cannot be changed.
     
    Note: The updated message applies to that reward only.

     
  9. Click Apply Template. You are back to the cart.
  10. Click Checkout. Refer to our documents to learn how to Send rewards with Tango.



When sending multiple rewards with bulk upload, you can use the ETID and the Message columns to customize the email template and message used with each reward.

Create custom email messages for multiple rewards (in one order)

Customize your email message for all your rewards in one order. Click Edit/Change email template and add your message before going to checkout. The new message applies to all of the rewards added to the cart at that time.

To create custom email messages for multiple rewards in one order:

  1. Sign in to Tango portal.
  2. Click Send rewards from the left panel.
  3. Select a reward for the email delivery.
  4. Enter the reward information such as amount, name and email address.
  5. Before going to the cart, click Edit/Change on email template.
  6. In the new page, customize the email message (up to 3000 characters) that is delivered with your reward, then click Apply Template. You are back to the cart. 
     
    Note: The template applies to the all rewards in your order.

     
  7. Click Add to Cart.
  8. Click Checkout. Refer to our documents to learn how to Send rewards with Tango.
