There are multiple ways to fund your rewards: pay at checkout or pre-fund your Tango account. See Pay at checkout for a fast and easy checkout experience. To pre-fund your Tango account, you can pay with the credit card that is registered with the account. See Ways to pay for your Tango orders.
Note:
Tango sends a real-time notification to the designated email address when funds are deposited in your production account. See Set up funding notification for more information.
If you’re planning to use a credit card to pre-fund your Tango account, you must register it first. See how you can Register a credit card. A new credit card is available for immediate use after its successful registration to the account.
Note:
- You can use a new credit card immediately if it’s successfully registered to your account. Tango usually reviews and processes the transaction prior to the end of the next business day. For newly registered credit cards, it can take up to two (2) business days. See Orders and reports FAQ to learn why your is marked as Pending. Contact your Customer Success Manger (CSM) or success@tangocard.com if the status has been pending more than three days.
- Default credit card funding limits apply to each credit card account on your platform. Other funding methods such as Wire, ACH, or checks do not have funding limits. Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or success@tangocard.com for more information.
Deposit funds using the credit card on the account and check the status of your transaction. If you have multiple Tango accounts, select the account first before adding funds. Follow the instructions below after your credit card is registered and ready to go:
Step 1: Deposit funds with the credit card
- Sign in to the Tango portal.
- Click Account switcher on top left and confirm you are in the right account.
- Click Close.
- Click Funding on the left menu.
- Click Add/Transfer Funds on the top right.
- Enter the funding amount and click Deposit funds.
A confirmation message appears. There is a 3.5% processing fee for credit card transactions. ACH or wire payments do not have a processing fee. See Pay with ACH or Wire.
- Click Confirm. A funding confirmation email is sent to the email addresses provided for the receipts. You can update the credit card notification recipient list under Credit Card Information>Receipts. See Set up credit card notifications.
Step 2: Check the status of your credit card transaction
- Sign in to the Tango portal.
- With a right account selected, click Funding.
- Click the Funding history tab.
- Click More next to the transaction.
- Check the Status of your credit card transaction: Processed, Pending, or Declined. Learn how to Download credit card transaction receipt.
Note:
- Credit card transactions can take up to two (2) business days to process. It shows a Pending status while it’s being processed. See Orders and reports FAQ to learn why. Contact your Customer Success Manger (CSM) or success@tangocard.com if the status has been pending more than three days.
- American Express and Discover cards can only be used to add funds to accounts that are set to US dollar (USD).
- Tango accounts are created with USD as the default currency but can be set to other currencies. Funding transactions are processed in the currency of the selected Tango account, regardless of the currency of the rewards sent or credit card used to add funds.
- Only accounts that have not yet had any transactions can have their currency changed. To change the currency of your Tango account, contact your Customer Success Manage (CSM) or success@tangocard.com.
